Assumption Catholic School is 110 years old this year.
The legacy of our church is alive in our building, with four generations of families and the patronage of the Servite Benedictine order and St. Frances Cabrini, who walked our halls.
Our academic standard is high

Best teaching practices
All of our subjects are taught with the best methods, and teachers collaborate with each other to find ways to engage each of our students, regardless of ability.
-
All staff emphasize reading strategies in every class
-
Math concepts are continually reviewed each year
-
Families receive regular reports of student progress
-
We use multiple data points to place students in the correct class
Long lost habits
As educators, we compete for students' attention. Because boys and girls are exposed to hours of media each day, we understand the responsibility to teach students how to pay attention and grow curious.
-
No student cell phone usage permitted on our campus
-
Low exposure to artificial screens or distracting media
-
Subjects are taught cumulatively, where old knowledge is revisited each year and built upon
-
Beginning in 3rd grade, we use scripture recitation to teach students focus and retention

Making life-long Catholics
Assumption exists to instill a faith life in our students.

-
Students participate in daily mass as servers, lectors, and cantors.
-
We begin reading scripture in 3rd grade, and by middle school, our students are literate in both the Old and New Testaments
-
We connect with our church in Denver through service projects and retreats
Our teachers are excellent
Great Teaching begins by building a relationship with each of Our students
